TMM series temperature management monitor isspecifically designed to supervise, adjust and manage thetemperature of transformer coil by controlling the running of fanswhich be mounted on transformers. With adopting the advancedmicrocomputer and communication technology, the TMM productsprocess flexible functions and perfect performance. By using threePt100 resistance thermal sensors and three PTC resistance thermalsensors which are separately put into the coils of transformer inadvance, the temperature can be measured and displayed, also, thesetemperature signal can be deal with to control the cooling fans andbe transmitted to control room for remote control. The instrumentapplied a new anti-interference measures to improve itsanti-interference ability, and meet all requirements ofinternational technical standard. No adjustment needs to be done byuser before using it, therefore, it’s simply and conveniently.Adding the parameter value protecting function, all the parametervalues, which the instrument measured, will be stored when electricpower is suddenly off, the user can judge the problem according tothe stored parameter data when the instrument is energized again.The instrument can check the working state of cooling fansautomatically, if there is an open circuit situation, theprotecting and alarm system would operate.
 TMM series temperature management monitor is manufacturedunder the standard requirement of JB/T7631-1994 ResistanceThermometer for Transformer. It has passed the comprehensive andstrict tests by government-authorized testing institution. Themanufacturer has passed the ISO9001 International Quality Systemaudit. With the advanced bottleneck management mode of TOC andtesting device and method, every unit of the products is guaranteedqualified under various rigorous operatingenvironments.

 FunctionInstructions
Display temperatures of 3 coils of transformer in cycle, anddisplay the highest temperature among three coils of transformer byshift.
User can set the temperature T1 at which the fans will startand temperature T2 at which the fans will be switchedoff. User can set the TI and T2 on the panel of instrument.When the highest temperature among 3 transformer coils exceeds theset temperature T1, the fans will start automatically. If thehighest temperature among 3 transformer coils were not exceeding tothe set temperature T1, user can press the button of hand controlto start the fans. When the fans start to work to cooling thetransformer, the temperature of transformer coils would go down,once the coil temperatures are lower than T2, the fans would beswitch off automatically.
TMM series temperature monitor allow transformer to connect 2fans, 4 fans, 6 fans or without any fans optionally. The signallights for the corresponding fans on the panel will turn green whenfans are started.
When phase failure occurs, the corresponding signal lamp willturn red with buzzing alarm signals.
Over-temperature alarm: When the highest temperature among 3transformer coils exceed to the upper limit T3 temperature, the“over-temperature” indicating lamp on the panel would turn on witha buzzing alarm, meanwhile, the micro-switch between terminals 13and 15 would be close.
Trip alarm: when the highest temperature among 3 transformercoils exceed to uppermost limit T4 temperature, the “trip”indicating lamp on the panel would turn on wit a buzzing alarm,meanwhile, the micro-switch between terminal 11 and 12 would beclose.
5. Sensor failure alarm: If the sensors aremalfunctioning, the “malfunction” indicating lamp on the panelwould turn on with a buzzing alarm, meanwhile, the micro-switchbetween terminal 14 and 15 would be close.
5.1 The different color of indicating lamp indicates themalfunction of different phases: yellow for phase A, green forphase B, red for phase C. The sensors are working well when all thelights are off.
5.2 Distinguish the malfunction of sensors: When sensor is inmalfunction, the display screen of temperature would display “H” or“L”, “H” indicates the malfunction of sensor is disconnecting, “L”indicate it’s short curcuit.
5.3 When there are malfunctions only in one or two phasesensor, the instrument will continue to work while putout the alarmsignal and switch on the corresponding micro-switches, in thiscase, the instrument work only depending on the left sensor. If all3 sensors were in malfunction at same time, the fans would bestarted automatically at once.
6. Parameters settings: user can set the temperatures andother parameters by pressing the button on the face panel ofinstrument directly:
Temperature T1: when the temperatures rise to T1, the fanswill start to cool the transformer.
Temperature T2: when the temperatures go down to T2 after thefans cool the transformer, the fans will be switched off to stop tocool the transformer.
Temperature T3 (Over temperature): when the highesttemperature among 3 coils of transformer exceed to T3, theinstrument will output the alarm signal and drive themicro-switch.
Temperature T4 (Trip temperature): when the highesttemperature among 3 transformer coils exceed to T4, the instrumentwill output the alarm signal and drive the micro-switch.
Timing the fans to start.
Determine the number of fans.
The set data will stored in the instrument never lost even thepower supply is cut off.
7. Manual control function: The fans can be controlledmanually by pressing the “manual control fan” button on the paneldirectly. This function can also be used for testing thefans.
8. Timing the interval for fans to start automatically: Usercan set the time (0~255 hours optional, 0 represent cancel thisfunction itself) by pressing the button on the panel. When the settime is on, the fans will start to run automatically for oneminute, this function used to check regularly if the fans are OK.The default value for fan to start automatically is 24 hours.

9. Data record: The instrumentmay record automatically the temperatures of 3 coils of transformerfor inquiry when power supply is cut off suddenly. To avoid therecorded data to be changed when power supply is connected again,the instrument was designed to keep the original data until thetemperature is over 80℃。
